The Global Standard for Food Safety has been developed to specify the safety, quality and operational criteria required to be in place within a food manufacturing organization to fulfill obligations with regard to legal compliance and protection of the consumer.
BRC Standards’ international use has grown substantially, with over 8,500 food suppliers certified in over 80 countries. It has also been recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) since its inception and this has led to recognition by international retailers such as Wal-Mart, Ahold, Metro and Delhaize.
In this recorded Webinar sponsored by QMI - SAI Global’s Agri-Food Group you will be provided with an overview of the standard, and will find out:

Presenter(s): George Gansner, Global Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Americas at IFS
The development of the IFS standard was based on ever-rising demands of consumers, increasing liabilities of retailers and wholesalers, increasing legal requirements, and the globalization of product supply. Basic objectives of the International Food Standard include:
Structure/Recognition
The IFS is divided into four main sections: audit protocol, technical requirements (which includes senior management responsibility, quality management system, resource management, etc), requirements for accreditation bodies, certification bodies and auditors, and reporting.
The IFS program is recognized by the Global Food Safe Initiative (GFSI), and is also specified worldwide by many retail chains.

Presenter(s): Fons Schmid, Chairman of the Board of Stakeholders and Marleen de Vries, General Secretary at FSSC 22000
Many food manufacturers are under pressure to meet various customer requirements. This can lead to multiple audits and systems so the cost can become onerous. As FSSC 22000 has been approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), it allows companies that achieve FSSC 22000 certification to meet the requirements of several global retailers or major branded food companies under a single, internationally recognized food safety management system.
The standard is designed for food manufacturers who supply or intend to supply their products to major food retailers or major branded food companies. Manufacturers that are already certified against the ISO 22000 standard will only need an additional review against the PAS 220 in order to meet the FSSC 22000 certification scheme.
In this complimentary Webinar sponsored by QMI-SAI Global you will be provided with an overview of the standard presented by Fons Schmid, Chairman of the Board of Stakeholders and Marleen de Vries, General Secretary at FSSC 22000 and will find out:
